Just make it so that any rounds that hit the shield only do 10% damage. The Laser would become an amazing weapon for peeking over cover! Truly Amarrian!

Ehhh even so, there's no reason one gun in particular should get some sort of damage reduction, even if the affected area is very small.
I just think it would be a fun addition, since balance would be barely affected. I know it doesn't really need to happen. It would just be a cool little feature.
